About Us

Founders of the Association

The non-governmental organization "Association of Machine-Building and Wind Energy Industry" was founded in August 2016.
The Association was founded by: the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Institute of Mechanical Engineering Problems
named after A.M. Podhorny At the same time, S.O. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was elected the Chairman of the Association. Kudryu, and the President of the Association is Academician Yu.M. Matsevity.

We have defined the priority areas of our mission, namely:

Ensuring and promoting the development of mechanical engineering and the wind energy industry in Ukraine through the elimination of legal obstacles; coordination of efforts of organizations, institutions and citizens engaged in the development of mechanical engineering and wind energy industry in Ukraine.

Our Programs are aimed at realizing the main goal of our Association – unlocking the competitive wind energy market of Ukraine for:

•    a significant increase in the generation of ecologically clean electricity independent of the supply of imported fuel through the construction and operation of wind power plants with a total capacity of 16,000 MW;
•    conversion of enterprises of the former military-industrial complex of the machine-building industry of Ukraine by organizing the production of components of modern wind turbine models to cover domestic and foreign demand for equipment for wind turbines;
Ukraine's implementation of international agreements and EU directives on stimulating the development of renewable energy;
• Ukraine's fulfillment of its obligations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the requirements of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
